And a finished version of that boats quickstudy from earlier. Based on a photo I took down at the warf, then the quick one to get the basic colors.... and then this one. Wanted to brighten it up a bit. 18x24. oil.

I seem to have lost the pure back and white versions of these boards, but here's some the beats we're doing for vis dev. I wanna flatten out the look a little more before going to the design phase. More 2D, esp. with the characters.
